John has been with the Franklin Vets Papakura branch since 1999, and does general practice work which involves many species as he services many lifestyle blocks (which contain a mixture of exotic animals), as well as dairy farms.

John's qualifications include a Bachelor of Veterinary Science, BSc in Animal Behaviour, MSc (Distinction) in Neural Physiology, and a Post Graduate Diploma in Animal Special Senses.  After graduating he headed off to Kentucky, USA where he worked in an Equine Practice specialising in general examinations, stud work and dentistry.  

John comes from a family of racehorse owners and breeders and he and his family enjoy a full life of horse riding at home and on holiday.

In 2014, Laura graduated from Massey University with a Bachelor of Veterinary Science. Previous to this degree she completed a Bachelor of Science, majoring in Physiology and Zoology.  Her special interests within the veterinary industry include large animal internal medicine and surgery.
Outside of work some of Laura’s hobbies include snowboarding, travelling, playing guitar, fishing and going to music festivals overseas.

Goran graduated in 1991 and worked as a large animal practitioner in Serbia.  On immigrating to NZ in 1994, and passing the New Zealand Veterinary examinations in 1996, Goran worked for MAF Quality Management (now known as NZ Food Safety Authority (verification agency)).

Goran is based at Waiuku, and provides veterinary backup at Pukekohe and Papakura.

Gaye joined the team in 2002 after having run her own lifestyle block for many years.  She has also become well known for her expertise with poultry, with both staff and clients drawing on her experience and knowledge.  

Gaye spends her spare time either planting native bush, baking for staff (which is really appreciated), or enjoying the company of her two grandchildren.
