Dr Greg Lindsay BVSc

Greg started as a large animal veterinarian with Franklin Vets after graduating from Massey University in 2008.  An Auckland City expat, his enthusiasm, practical skills and knowledge have seen him become a prominent dairy veterinarian in the North Waikato region.  Greg thoroughly enjoys engaging with dairy farming businesses at all levels but his particular interest assisting farmers with their decision making roles around herd reproduction and nutrition make him a valuable member of the farm team.  In his spare time Greg can be found at home with fiancé Holly or bobbing around the coastline, fishing or spearfishing from his kayak.

Dr Liz Macintosh BVMS BSc

Liz joined our team in January 2013 and works from the TK clinic. She is enjoying getting to know the farmers in this area and is settling in well. After graduating from vet school in July 2009, Liz moved from Scotland to NZ and began working as a mixed practice vet in Waiuku. Having a keen interest in proactive dairy work, Liz now joins our team as a farm vet and looks forward to working with you.

When not at work Liz enjoys spending time with her family and friends and especially with her wee daughter who was born last year. Liz and her family can usually be found on the beach or walking in the bush at weekends. Surfing, team sports, horse riding and a spot of gardening are some of Liz’s favourite things to do!

Jess Kingsland Cert. RATech

(Production Animal Technician)

Jess joined Franklin Vets in 2010 after spending 18 months working in Far North Queensland in mixed animal practice and as sole nurse in the equine hospital.

The all year round calving, weekly herd health visits, continuous snake bites (cattle, horses and companion animals) and paralysis ticks were hard to get her head around.

Prior to heading across the ditch, Jess spent four years in mixed animal practice in Rotorua, where she started her career and was also born and bred.

Along with preventative treatments that Technicians play a huge role in, Jess has a strong interest in cattle nutrition and in early 2012 took over the role of managing the Franklin Vets grazing company and is thoroughly enjoying the challenges this brings.

Having grown up in Rotorua, she can be found hitting the mountain bike tracks in south Auckland or cycling the country roads of Te Kauwhata and Pukekohe in her spare time, along with anything outdoorsy. Jess also plays hockey for Pukekohe United and has just discovered the game Squash, which she thoroughly enjoys and is starting to become rather addicted.
