The first full season of Bull Fertility testing

With our new Electro Ejaculator has gone very well.  The importance of semen evaluation was again pointed out.  A couple of the bulls we tested showed less than 70% normal sperm.  One interesting case was an 18 month old stud bull that was used as a single sire with the first seven heifers he served all returned after 21 days.  The semen evaluation showed 50% immature sperm and the bull was replaced by the breeder.

Although immaturity is one of the most common causes of sub fertility, it is also very important to test older bulls because they can get degeneration of the testes, that will gradually lead to lower fertility.

Testing bulls with the new Electro Ejaculator is a quick, easy and cost effective way of ensuring mating will go as planned.  Remember the lower the sperm count, the lower the pregnancy rate and the higher the cost to you as the farmer.
