|Dr Paul Eason
BVM&S (Edinburgh 1989); MANZCVS (Surgery and Emergency & Critical Care Medicine)
Paul is a Veterinarian and Director of the Pukekohe Companion Animal business at Franklin Vets. Paul holds over 25 years of experience in veterinary surgery covering a wide range of orthopaedic and soft tissue procedures.
He has seen first-hand the recent spike in demand for special interest surgeries, with the increased regularity of surgeries he himself has been commissioned to perform. “There is an understandable reluctance among many vets to tackle some of the more complicated and risky procedures for treating their patients. What we have to make very clear here, is that the only specialist services offered are in neurosurgery, all other services are not specialist, but carried out in a primary practice by vets with special interests,” Paul explains.
