Ultrasound Examination
Ultrasound examination is an extremely important diagnostic tool in veterinary medicine and is a service we offer at Franklin Vets.
It provides us with a non-invasive glimpse inside which is invaluable in assessing abdominal organs, hearts and pregnancies.
Most animals can be examined with only mild sedation, anaesthetics are rarely required. They pretty much always have to have the fur on their bellies shaved.
Ultrasound studies quickly provide us with information that often helps us decide whether to operate or not.
