At Franklin Vets we assess the risk of catching a particular disease in our local area, and have set up a vaccination program to suit the animals in this area.

Franklin Vets supports the World Small Animal Vet Association Vaccination Guidelines Group recommendation that were released in June 2010.  Our vaccination policy that has been in place since 2004 follows these guidelines:

• All dogs and cats should receive the benefit of vaccination, but vaccinations are powerful drugs that cause massive stimulation of the patient's immune system.  They should therefore not be used needlessly.
