Vaccination against Rabbit Calicivirus (Viral Hamorrhagic disease) is available.
All rabbits living in or close to rural areas should receive a vaccination against this disease.

Calicivirus does exist in the wild rabbit population, it is a virus that can remain in the environment for a long period of time and is fatal to most rabbits that catch it.

Rabbits less than 12 weeks of age require two vaccinations three weeks apart.

Rabbits older than 12 weeks of age require a single shot.

Annual re-vaccination is recommended in rabbits that are at high risk ie. living in rural areas.

All rabbits receive a full health check prior to vaccination.
