Holly Profile Picture.jpg
Holly Walton BVSc
Holly's formative years were spent in rural Southland where she graduated through the Pony Club system, completing her B and H certificates. She participated in all aspects of competitive riding; pleasure hacking, pony club instruction and dressage judging. Whilst attending vet school in Melbourne, Holly was involved with a family commercial Angus and Merino property and breeding Irish Sport horses. Returning to NZ she spent time in Hawkes Bay as a mixed practice vet.

Holly then moved south to Canterbury to pursue one of her main interests; equine reproduction and foal care.  Holly worked on a large broodmare farm managing fresh and frozen artificial insemination, scanning and foaling down of some 450 mares.

During this time Holly undertook post-graduate training in equine dentistry with the "Power Float" a non invasive, visually based dental system.  Holly's career took her home to Southland where she worked at an equine referral centre with a leading equine surgeon.  The case-loads here were quite varied, from colic surgeries to fracture repairs.  Holly is very keen to help implement on-farm parasite management, vaccination programmes and general health plans for horse properties.

Having thawed out from the South, Holly has enjoyed exploring the local countryside, beaches and forests on horseback and foot.  Holly has settled into the Clevedon community, enjoying competing in local dressage and jumping events.

Jess Profile Pic.jpg
Jessica Kingsland (Technician)
Jessica began her career in Rotorua, and after nearly four years, drew on her love of working with animals as a veterinary and equine nurse to spend nearly two years in Far North Queensland on the Atherton Tablelands.  The geographic isolation dictated plane access to one of the clinics.

As a veterinary technician based at our Te Kauwhata branch, Jessica brings with her four years experience in veterinary nursing and several years as a large animal technician.

Jessica holds a Certificate in Rural Animal Technology
