Melissa grew up in Singapore and Thailand and has always loved working with horses. She moved to the USA for university and completed her BSc in Animal Science with an equine specialty from UC Davis, and her veterinary degree from Purdue. She then went on to do an equine internship at The Equine Clinic at OakenCroft, a busy ambulatory equine general practice in New York.
Melissa is certified in equine acupuncture (Curacore), chiropractic (Backbone Academy), and equine performance medicine and rehabilitation (Chi University). Her special areas of interest are lameness, rehabilitation, and performance medicine. Her favourite part of her job is working together with horses and the people who love them to make a difference in their lives.
