Melissa grew up in Singapore and Thailand and has always loved working with horses. She moved to the USA for university and completed a BSc in Animal Science from UC Davis, and her veterinary degree from Purdue. She then went on to do an equine internship at The Equine Clinic at OakenCroft. Melissa moved to New Zealand in 2017 and is thoroughly enjoying being a Kiwi.
Melissa enjoys all aspects of equine practice, but her special interests lie in sports medicine and ophthalmology. She also received post-graduate certification in equine acupuncture through Curacore and is currently working on her performance medicine and rehabilitation certification. Her favourite part of her job is working together with horses and the people that love them to make a difference in their lives.
