Well, it sure has been nice to finally see some sun these past couple of weeks!
With the “summer” weather causing all sorts of chaos around the North Island, it’s been a bizarre season for a lot of our Franklin lifestyle blocks. Our thoughts go out to those severely affected by Cyclone Gabrielle in the Hawke’s Bay. In case you missed them, the NZVA have some helpful Flood resources here for future reference (although we certainly hope we don’t need them anytime soon!).
Facial eczema spores seem to have been stalled somewhat by the constant rain we have experienced over summer. Make sure to keep tabs on your local clinic’s reported spore counts here, as we may see a resurgence and a long tail like we did last year. If the counts do rise, be sure to provide protective zinc in the form of bolusing or pellets.
