Happy New Year!

We hope you had a great summer break, and you are enjoying the warm weather.

What feels hot to you burns your dog, too.

We often forget that our dogs experience the world through their paws. A simple rule of thumb can help keep them safe: if you can’t comfortably touch a surface with your hand, imagine how it feels on your dog’s paws. Walk your dog early in the morning or later in the evening when surfaces are cooler. Stick to grassy areas whenever possible.

New website with improved online booking

Some of you may have noticed we launched a new website this week! With it comes an easier way to book your pet’s appointment online. Just head to your clinic’s page, select the appointment type you need, and follow the quick prompts. Of course, our friendly Customer Services teams are still available to help over the phone if you prefer.

Pet Portal

For those of you who used our pet portal for viewing your pets’ due dates for vaccinations and treatments, downloading clinical summaries, invoices and statements, & updating contact details and your pets’ details, this is still available. Note - you can no longer book using this portal.

In this update:

  • Grass seed alert: Meet Tia
  • Ace - our brave little Spitz hero
  • A happy reunion thanks to a microchip
  • A great result for Loki (Warning: graphic image).

Stay safe on the road and in the water this summer.

Thank you for your ongoing support – it means a great deal to us.

With best wishes

The team at Franklin Vets.
