Pet Insurance

Clients often ask us whether they should take out pet insurance. Franklin Vets supports the New Zealand Veterinary Association position, which strongly recommends pet owners consider pet insurance.

One way to consider this question is to think about how you would be able to respond when faced with a large veterinary bill for the care of your pet for a complex medical or surgical problem. Pet insurance can take the stress out of those situations for you, and ensure you can have the best care for your pet.

We can provide you with brochures for pet insurance companies (or you can compare policies online), however, decisions about whether to take out insurance and which company or policy must be made by you.
