Vet Nurse - Paeroa

Franklin Vets is a well-established veterinary practice with 12 clinics and a presence across South Auckland, North Waikato, Thames, and Coromandel districts.

We are on the lookout for an enthusiastic, diploma-qualified Vet Nurse to join our Paeroa team. This position offers a unique blend of responsibilities, making it an ideal fit for those with veterinary nursing qualifications, great customer skills and an interest in farming.

What you’ll do:

• Carry out veterinary nurse procedures under the guidance of our veterinarians
• Assist with surgical procedures and monitor anaesthesia
• Manage the admission and discharge of patients
• Conduct veterinary nurse consultations
• Customer service – answering phones, scheduling appointments, retail sales, managing customer requests
• Support our veterinarians on farm with a range of seasonal technician activities

We are looking for:

• A motivated vet nurse with a Diploma in Veterinary Nursing, ready to make a difference in the lives of animals and their owners. While some experience would be ideal, we are happy to consider a new graduate.
• Someone with a Rural Technician qualification or a strong interest in developing skills in this area
• A team player with exceptional customer service skills and a willingness to be flexible
