This traditional flame-based cremation reduces remains to fine, sand-like ashes over 2–4 hours.
You may choose:

  • Ashes returned in a cardboard casket
  • Scatter tube
  • Wooden casket
  • Ceramic urn.

Visit the Pet Farewells website for examples of urns & keepsakes.

Aquamation with Fond Farewells

We’re committed to working with suppliers who share our responsibility to care for animals and the environment. That’s why we support aquamation, a gentle, water-based alternative to traditional flame cremation.

This water-based process mimics natural decomposition and takes approximately 8–10 hours. It uses up to 90% less energy than flame-based cremation while producing ashes that are similar.

Aquamation produces a nutrient-rich by-product water. At present, this is responsibly managed through certified water treatment facilities, where it is processed within regulated systems designed to protect soil, groundwater, and waterways.

You may choose not to have ashes returned, or select from a range of urn options:

  • Cardboard urn
  • Plain wooden urn
  • Wooden urn with engraved name or plaque.

Visit the Fond Farewells website for examples of urns & keepsakes.
