Phil graduated from Massey University in 1989 and after some years in mixed and small animal practice joined Franklin Vets as a small animal veterinarian at the Papakura clinic in 1995. He became a Director of the Practice in 2003. Phil has developed a special interest in the areas of small animal medicine and ultra-sonography and gained membership of the Australian & New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists in 1999.

Family and the occasional triathlon take up his spare time.
